Welcome Message

Hello and a very warm welcome to Class 8!

I am delighted to be your class teacher in Class 8 and look forward to enjoying our learning during your Year 4 journey at Fulwood and Cadley. Miss Lafferty is our wonderful teaching assistant and Mrs Margersion will also be teaching in class on Wednesday mornings as PPA cover. I truly believe that teaching and learning should be an enjoyable experience for all, and we will achieve this in a variety of ways – hands on learning, experimentation, questioning, group work, drama, music and much more to ensure a varied and all-inclusive experience. What an exciting year lies ahead!

Physical Education

The class PE days for Class 8 are on Wednesday (Indoor PE) and Thursday (Swimming) where children should come to school in their PE kits. Please note that tights and leggings are not permitted – children should wear their shorts/navy tracksuit bottoms, school PE t-shirt and PE top. Thank-you.

Home Learning

Homework will now be given out on a Friday. The children are expected to read every day at home for a minimum of fifteen minutes and practice their spellings and individual times table target every day. Spellings and times tables will tested on the following Friday. I will alternate an additional homework task of maths and English every other week. We also offer homework clubs in school and Cadley Kids' Club also have provision for your child to complete their homework. If your child is struggling with any aspect of their home learning, please contact me via the office or have a word with me after school.
